How likely is it that there's no afterlife at all?

I find the concept of there being nothingness after death to be very comforting, as well. And you're right, it does make this life, the only one we have, all the more meaningful. I'm not wasting time trying to earn the accolades of some ancient father figure so that I could potentially spend my forever worshiping at his feet. I focus on the here and now. And I get a lot out of it.
