The Bride freaks out night before the wedding & throws me out. Can I sue her for the $1000 Ive spent?

she gets mad because last night I don't want to drive an hour to her house to sleep on the floor with the rest of the bridal party( seriously freaky guys) then get up at 6am and drive another 45min the other way to the salon... I live 25 mins from the salon so I wanted to just meet them there- not good enough. she freaks, has her man call me and get nasty needless to say words are exchanged and about 1/2 hr later I get a vm that im not to come to the salon that Im out. She has my dress at her house that cost 450.00 she has someones gf wear it & take my place and now wants to mail the dress to me b/c I paid for it.... not to mention they told everyone at the wedding that I backed out last minute. I saved the jerks vm, I want to call an attorney to get some kind of reimbursement , think I have a leg to stand on? ever happen to anyone else?
