JL 12w7 on a JL 500/1.......?

your 500.1 amp wont be pumping out 500 watts peak unless your are pumping enough amperage to it and your subwoofer is wired down to around 1ohm. the 12w7 has a rms rating of 1000w so your amp is a little on the small side. if you spent the money on a sub as good as the w7 then i would push anything less then 1000w to it. anything else and you would have waisted your money on the w7.
