On the income statement, it says shareholder's deficit instead of shareholder's equity. What does this mean?

And the numbers are in brackets. It also says Retained Deficit instead of Retained Earnings. What does this mean? Does this have anything to do with the company's Recapitalization and common stock repurchase?
