Acne: Nothing works?

ive tried a lot things to treat my acne (proactiv-worked at first then stopped, neutrogena, st.ives scrubs, noxema, clearasil, even toothpaste) but nothing is helping me. Its really upsetting. Any suggestions? How expensive would a dermatologist be?
