Im 19 and have untreated hyperthyroidism but recently have been getting chest pains?

they start as a dull ache and usually intensify as i breathe in , to a really sharp ache in the middle of my chest to the left slightly ive had this about 8 times in 3 weeks , is it serious? could it be something to do with the hyperthyroidism
